All telecourses will be assessed an additional $10.00 per course. If fees are not paid before the first day of class, there will be a $10 late registration/payment fee assessed.

All fees are payable at the time of registration each semester. Registration dates and payment due dates for each semester are listed in the academic calendar. Student schedules are deleted if fees are not paid by the applicable due date. Registration is incomplete until all fees are paid and no student may be admitted to classes without having met all financial obligations. Students whose fees are paid by an outside source must ensure that all appropriate paperwork from the paying agency is on file in the Office of Financial Aid prior to the last day to pay for early registration.

There is a $30 charge for any check returned to Northeast State. A student who has not redeemed a returned check for fees within 10 days after being notified by the Business Office will be administratively withdrawn from school. Receipt of three bad checks from any person will result in that person becoming ineligible to make payments by check thereafter. No student may re-enroll, graduate or receive a transcript or grades until all financial obligations to Northeast State are met. All charges are subject to subsequent audit. Errors will be corrected by refund or additional charge.

The Business Office is located on the first floor of the Pierce Administration Building at the Northeast State campus in Blountville. Regular office hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 423.354.2511.

Cash, checks, money orders, Mastercard, Visa, Discover, and American Express are accepted. Payments using the above methods may be made in person at the business office or via the Internet from the Northeast State website NORSTAR. When using the Internet option an additional pay by web-check option is available.

FACTS/e-Cashier Payment Plans (Available fall and spring only)

To help meet educational expenses each semester, Northeast State is pleased to offer FACTS, a convenient payment plan. It is not a loan; therefore, there is no debt, and no interest or finance charges are assessed. No credit check is required.

Payment Plan Overview
A $25.00 per semester nonrefundable fee is required. The FACTS Enrollment Fee is automatically deducted from your account WITHIN 14 days of the date of your agreement.

Payments are automatically deducted on the 5th of each month from a designated checking or savings account, or you may also have your payment charged to a credit card. If you elect to use a credit card, only VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express are accepted.

Fall 2009
e-Cashier is available on July 15, 2008 and full payments may be made through Aug. 15, 2008.
July 23, 2009 is the deadline for 25% down (3 payment option).
Aug. 28, 2009 is the deadline for 50% down (2 payment option).

Spring 2009
e-Cashier is available on Nov. 9, 2009 and full payments may be made through Dec. 15, 2008.
Nov. 23, 2009 is the deadline for 25% down (3 payment option).
Jan. 13, 2009 is the deadline for 50% down (2 payment option).
Note: 50% of the student's account must be paid by the first day of class.
