Library Services
The Kingsport Center for Higher Education’s Learning Resource Center is open to all students, faculty, and staff and offers electronic databases and access to all participating college and university libraries.
Web-based access to online catalogs of all member libraries is available with the usual subject, author, title, and keyword searching. If a book is needed, it can be requested through interlibrary loan and delivered to the Learning Resource Center for pickup.
Online databases are available for searching magazine and journal articles. Each participating college and university provides remote access to different selections of indexes, directories, and full-text databases to their own students. Patrons may also request copies of articles for research through a document delivery system at no charge. In addition to databases provided by member libraries, the Learning Resource Center also has access to a number of full-text journal databases and online encyclopedias.
